SkootEco API Token Management

Access the Zap Template

  1. Navigate to the SkootEco Square Zapier template: [Zap Template]
  2. Log in to your Zapier account or create a new one.

Connect Your Square Account

  1. In the Zapier workflow editor, find the Square step.
  2. Click "Connect" in the right-hand menu.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to log into Square.
  4. Enter your Square username and authenticate.
  5. Grant Zapier access to your Square account.
  6. Your Square account is now authenticated and ready to use in Zapier.

Connect and Authorise SkootEco

  1. In the Zapier workflow editor, locate the SkootEco step.
  2. Click "Sign in" or "Select", then choose "Connect New Account".
  3. You will be redirected to the SkootEco authorisation page.
  4. Retrieve your API Token from the SkootEco dashboard:
    • Log into your SkootEco Dashboard.
    • Navigate to the API page.
    • Generate, name, and copy a new API Token.
  5. Paste the API Token into Zapier.
  6. Click "Yes, Continue to SkootEco".
  7. Zapier will verify your token, and you’ll return to the Zap workflow.
  8. Click "Connect" to proceed.
ℹ️ Tip: Keep your API Token secure. If needed, generate a new token following the API Token Management Guide at the top of this page.

Configure Your Impact Settings

  1. In the SkootEco step, define the action for your Zap.
  2. Choose the trigger that aligns with your business goals:
    • Plant 1 tree per sale processed in Square.
    • Plant 1 tree per appointment booked via Square Appointments.
    • Plant 1 tree per new customer added to Square.
  3. Test this step to ensure it works correctly.

Complete and Activate the Zap

  1. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect and configure any additional apps.
  2. Test the full workflow to confirm all steps run smoothly.
  3. Once satisfied, click "Publish Zap" to activate your automation.
Note: You can edit, pause, or delete your Zap anytime from the Zapier dashboard.
